BIOGRAPHY
Fox Evades is the solo project of DIY post punk musician, songwriter and bedroom producer, Jordan Mae.
After teaching herself to play the guitar from the early age of seven using a CD-ROM and an old antique acoustic guitar, Jordan began to release covers of her biggest influences on YouTube, gaining features from Morrissey and NME Magazine. She then went on to study music technology at Winstanley College (birthplace of The Verve).
It was only during the lockdown of the pandemic that she began to self-release her music and share it with the world. Influenced by the likes of The Smiths, The Cure, The XX, Pixies, Placebo and Patti Smith, her debut single 'The Heart That Drowned' immediately gained the attention of BBC Introducing producers and was aired across Lincolnshire.
Fox Evades' second single 'Bira' was featured as BBC Introducing Midlands 'song of the week', with daily plays on BBC breakfast, afternoon and evening shows across Lincolnshire, Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. She also became the featured artist of the week with the release of 'Someday'.
Her debut EP 'Nothing but Our Dreams' was was aired in its entirety on the Fox Evades special BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire show during the week of its release and has amassed over 15,000 streams on Spotify alone.

"Climate change, individuality, she really is a champion of some pretty important causes through her music taking on the world one track at a time, I'm so looking forward to hearing the music she releases in the future because if it's anything like Bira, she's definitely one to watch."
